Eat your heart out Black Beard. We’re going solar sailing!

We’ve all watch Star Trek and Star Wars. We’ve seen how Kirk and Solo act all high and mighty with their fancy warp drives. While we may not have the Starship Enterprise parked in Earth orbit, ready to take off at Warp 9, we just may have the next best thing. And yes, we have the technology to build it right now, and it can potentially move at 10% the speed of light and get us to Alpha Centauri within a human life-time. Oh, and how about getting to Mars and the distant outer planets in our own solar system within weeks or months? Solar sails could do it. Watch the videos here to learn more.
